Well, here is a slightly different subject for a Calgary real estate blog post.
A young mother from Red Deer is about to have a rather serious problem. Or should I say another serious problem. You see, she has four sons, including a pair of twin, fifteen month old boys that have been in the Alberta Children’s Hospital since they were born.
She has been living in the Ronald McDonald House since then but one of twins was released a few months ago and the second one will be able to go home soon. And that is where the problem arises. The boys still need to be close to the Children’s Hospital for ongoing treatment and Katrina Hatch has been unable to find rental accommodation in Calgary. She can’t stay at the Ronald McDonald house once both boys are out of the hospital.
Ms. Hatch has been looking for a place to rent for over three months but has been unsuccessful. She said “we’ve exhausted every resource and we’re facing being homeless”.
Calgary’s hot housing market is not so good for everyone.
So, if you know someone who might be able to give her and her boys a hand up, please let me know or contact the good folks at CTV news.
